Always witnesses of a winemaking activity that extends between the rolling Venetian hills, the mountains and the sea, our activity looks beyond the invasion of Prosecco, claiming a poorly valued and little-known territorial heritage , brought to the fore today thanks to the commitment and hard work carried out by Marco, Nicola and their father Alfredo Barollo.
“Our history is quite recent” , Marco tells Gambero Rosso International , “the company was founded in 2001, following the intuition of our father, who has always worked in the world of wine. We had the opportunity to purchase a cellar in this area characterized by particularities that intrigued us. Just fifteen minutes by car from Venice, the plain is close to the sea, but at the same time its climate is influenced by the fresh breeze of the Dolomites, characterized by large temperature variations. The soil is saline, once upon a time there was the sea here. If we dig, we will find marine fossils at a depth of less than a meter."
